Outdoor Sedona Wedding
Sedona brides and grooms love having their wedding ceremonies in the natural outdoor beauty of Sedona. Vibrant sandstone cliffs that are carved into exotic shapes, blue skies and changing colors frame weddings in a spectacular way. Amy and Chris chose Red Rock Crossing for their intimate elopement this spring. This location is one of the most popular settings with Oak Creek flowing through the park and Cathedral Rock as a beautiful ceremony backdrop.

Australian Wedding by Jonas Peterson
The beautiful work of Australian wedding photographer Jonas Peterson inspires me and takes my breath away. He captures the beauty and tells an intimate story of love. The bride and groom are both beautiful and stylish. I love the bride’s pale pink sequined dress by Jenny Packham. The photos speak for themselves. Thanks Jonas.
The Eco Friendly Bride
The vintage wedding trend has created an infinite number of ways for brides to also be eco-friendly. Bridal wear, eco-friendly jewelry, wedding favors, invitations can all be beautiful and help the planet. The very popular use of mason jars is a great example of a wedding trend that is inexpensive, can be recycled many times and be used in countless clever details. Bride’s are having vintage wedding dresses refitted or a grandmothers or mothers wedding dress made into something completely new. Outdoor weddings in Sedona on forest service lands are very desirable. There are many resort and restaurant chefs that support locally grown produce so be sure to ask at your reception venue. Here are some choices for earth loving brides and grooms found on etsy.

Sedona Vineyard Wedding
Valerie and Ryan were married at the beautiful Page Springs Cellars Vineyard in October. The couple, wine club members and lovers of great food were excited to have their wedding at the vineyard. The planning process was interrupted when Ryan’s work took him across the country. Valerie then had to concentrate on wrapping up her job in Arizona, pack up and move to North Carolina pick up the planning again in order to get back to Arizona for the wedding. The wedding day was perfect. Guests were transported to the vineyard for the ceremony by the creek. Family and close friends enjoyed a sunny afternoon with great food catered by the Heartline Café and carefully paired wines from the winery. Courtney Yeates and Lindsay Katz -Cellist/vocalist and guitarist provided music. Bliss Floral created beautiful arrangements in brilliant fall colors. Iffy Yossifor captured the day and event planner Margaret Van Damme coordinated the day.
Bow Ties
Guys have recently been seen sporting fun, colorful bow ties for their wedding attire. The classic is back, trendy and hip. A splash of color, polka dots or stripes adds certain flair to the less formal wedding or great at a vintage wedding. And of course the black formal bow tie is always elegant. Here are a few I spotted on the web.
Destination Arizona
This beautiful photograph was featured in the latest issue of Arizona’s Finest Wedding magazine. Katrina Wallace of Sedona Bride captured the timeless image of Laura and Rob. Vineyard Wedding
Samantha and Bryan were married October 23, 2010 at the beautiful Page Springs Vineyard. After ten years together and two beautiful children, Bryan and Samantha decided to tie the knot. The wedding celebration was full of love and small details that reflected the couples love of family, friends, good food and great wines. Not being cake lovers, the couple passed up the traditional and instead had a pie table. Family members made beautiful and delicious pies that were a hit with all the guests. The estate style seating looked beautiful among the estate vineyards. Congratulations Samantha and Bryan.
Vineyard Wedding
We are honored today by having our Vineyard Wedding shoot featured on another great blog, Ruffled one of the best wedding blogs around. Thanks Amanda, we heart Ruffled.
“Vintage and vineyards are two styles that we rarely see together. Lucky for us, Margaret of Van Damme Weddings designed this concept shoot inspired by a vintage Italian vineyard from the 40s. I am specially loving the mismatched vintage plates and the barrels decorated with flowers at the entrance of the aisle. Shot by the wonderful duo Katrina and Andrew of Sedona Bride”
Wine Cork Place Card Holders
Stacy of Le’ Gallery Boutique in Scottsdale recently sent me these samples of her work with wine corks. These are great custom handcrafted wine corks made by Stacy in Scottsdale Arizona. They make wonderful place card holders and napkin rings for our Vineyard Weddings in Sedona. Of course they work beautifully for any special occasion or event you may be having. These repurposed wine corks are a good eco-friendly choice for your event. I am looking forward to using them for an outdoor summer event.
