Sedona-Letterpress Shoot
Here are a few photographs of the vintage tabletop we designed last month. The Aerialist Press created the beautiful letterpress invitation suite for us. Katrina Wallace of Sedona Bride photographed at Tlaquepaque. The awesome cake was the work of Andrea at Sedona Cake Couture. Cute fun and casual, Van Damme Weddings can do something equally awesome for your wedding.
Sedona Elopement
You all know I love elopements. Danielle and Oliver eloped to Sedona, on a cold windy day the first of February. High School sweethearts, the stylish couple said their vows, after twelve years together, in the labyrinth at the Lodge at Sedona. It was a sweet moment. I love how the bride and groom decided on the unconventional, Danielle in a perfect little black dress and faux fur black shrug. (Loved the green nylons) and Oliver in a military-style jacket (reminded me of the Beatles) The unique wedding rings were designed by the couple. Beautiful weddings are always about your own personal style. Danielle and Oliver were a perfect reflection of this. Congratulations!
Hair Accessories
Hairpieces and fascinators are being seen on our Sedona brides more than ever. Here are a few I love from whichgoose
Sedona Sunset
I love the lanterns at sunset in Sedona. This image was captured from the video produced by Carl Anderson at one of our favorite venues L’Auberge de Sedona. It was a perfect October evening. I am so looking forward to all the new weddings we have booked for this coming October in Sedona. The lanterns are the work of floral and design specialist, Showstoppers.
French Macaroons
I love French macaroons. These dainty little cakes in beautiful colors and flavors, yum. Brides that love beautiful food are following this trend to have French macaroons at their event. They can be a substitute for the cake, in addition to the cake, a late night dessert or make a lovely take away gift. I love these from Nicola and Eric at the Macaronner. They make these dainty, delicate; melt in your mouth, French macaroons from scratch. Check out their blog and their etsy store for more delicious ideas.
New Years Wedding In Sedona
Paul of anapaul photography sent over this New Years Day Sedona wedding. Southern Californians Alison and Ricky braved a very cold day and had their beautiful wedding at the Chapel at Tlaquepaque. The weather did not put a damper on the fun or beautiful smiles of this couple.
The husband/wife photography team of Paul and Anmarie captured some great images in Sedona’s spectacular Red Rocks. Their photography is modern, artsy, a little edgy and definitely fun. See the entire post here.
Van Damme Weddings/Sedona Wedding Studio Featured In Phoenix Bride and Groom Magazine
Van Damme Weddings designed shoot of casual elegance in the rustic vineyard setting of DA Lodge is featured in the winter/spring issue of Phoenix Bride and Groom magazine.
The collaboration of talented Sedona Wedding Studio members resulted in this inspirational design that reflects a southwest image not often imagined by brides that live on the east coast or Midwest. In the midst of the rustic country feel is incorporated a sense of casual elegance that might be found in the Italian countryside.
Jim Bullock and Ken Heflin, designers at Events by Showstoppers created the most incredible floral; Carefully placed stems in vintage bottles were on tables and then hung from the enormous cottonwood trees at the ceremony site.
The ever-talented team at Sedona Bride, Katrina Wallace and Andrew Mejia captured images.
This is a shoot that keeps on inspiring. Much more coming up.
Sedona Wedding
Randi and Michael were married at beautiful L’Auberge de Sedona resort. Their wedding was casual elegance among close friends and family. The bride chose black and white as her colors. The floral was stunning in pinks, creams and shades of light apricot as accent colors.
Tables were designed with low floral arrangements, mercury glass votives and tall silver candleholders. Linens were white with sheer ivory overlays embellished with small floral in white and gold embroidery. The black chavari chairs completed the look. Paper goods were black and white letterpress. Escort cards hung by black satin ribbon from Manzanita tress on alligator juniper bases.
There were so many lovely details in this wedding. An array of colorful pashima shawls that had been collected by the groom’s mother over the year were tied with personalized black ribbon and arranged in a beautiful African basket for the women guests.
Guests dined on exquisite food under paper lanterns on this beautiful fall evening.
The couple was lovely, lighthearted and truly in love. I especially loved that the bride’s eleven-year-old son escorted her to the ceremony site. It was a tender moment.
Thanks to all the talented wedding vendors that contributed to this beautiful, successful and fun wedding.

Vineyard Wedding
Samantha and Bryan were married October 23, 2010 at the beautiful Page Springs Vineyard. After ten years together and two beautiful children, Bryan and Samantha decided to tie the knot. The wedding celebration was full of love and small details that reflected the couples love of family, friends, good food and great wines. Not being cake lovers, the couple passed up the traditional and instead had a pie table. Family members made beautiful and delicious pies that were a hit with all the guests. The estate style seating looked beautiful among the estate vineyards. Congratulations Samantha and Bryan.
Summer at Tlaquepaque
Anna and Raul celebrated their marriage this summer at Tlaquepaque. The quaint courtyards, reminiscent of a Mexican village was the perfect backdrop for this vibrant wedding. The Texas couple chose bright colors that were perfect in Red Rock Country. The groom’s grandmother made dozens of Biscochitos; the traditional New Mexico sugar cookie dusted with cinnamon sugar. Being a New Mexican; they were a hit with me. Everyone was in a festive mood and danced the night away.
