This sweet wedding celebrated the joining of Randy and Heidi as man and wife as well as celebrating the joining of two families. Between them, they have six beautiful children. The bride’s three daughters and the grooms two sons and a daughter all attended their parents in the wedding ceremony. The family chose a sand ceremony to reflect the blending of their two families into one new family. The love of family could be seen and felt in all the details of this intimate wedding.
The couple, busy medical professionals living in Idaho chose, sight unseen, L’Auberge de Sedona as their destination venue. It was the perfect gathering place for family and close friends to surround and celebrate the couple’s love for each other and the love of their family. Dinner was held on the patio by the creek-followed by dancing. Andrew Holman captured the day in these beautiful images.
The couple was off for Bali on a honeymoon vacation.

We love this Creekside wedding. It is filled with family, friends, fun, lots of love and a gorgeous bride and groom. The bride was stunning in her Monique Lhuillier gown. Every beautiful moment was captured by Cameron & Kelly Studio
Samantha and Brenan wanted a wedding with a backyard feel. After looking at several venues they chose the charming Creekside Inn. Nestled on the banks of Oak Creek, with lush lawns and beautiful old trees, it gave the couple the perfect setting for their wedding day.
Working closely with Samantha for almost a year we created her “backyard wedding” with wood ceremony benches; bare wood estate tables, small bud vases with a variety of flowers that looked fresh picked from the garden. There were so many details that made this wedding personal and charming. Samantha’s super talented friend, Carly Bennett, created a chalkboard menu on an old door and chalkboard sign for the wine barrel bar.
As a surprise for the groom Samantha had her paper designer make a special sign for the Junior bridesmaids to carry that said “Here Comes your Buddy” a nickname that has stuck with the couple since they started dating as “buddies’.
Rather than the traditional wedding cake, the couple had various flavored miniature Bundt cakes. They also had a popcorn table where guests could fill bags with flavored popcorn; the sign read “Poe Corn” Poe the groom’s last name.
The ceremony was held on a shaded lawn near the creek. Guests then enjoyed cocktails and hors d’oeuvres on the upper patio/lawn. Dinner was held under a clear top tent strung with bistro lights. We were all obsessed with the beautiful tent where the crowd danced the night away.

Janae and Mike were married in an intimate ceremony surrounded by loving friends and family. Although rain threatened the day, both Janae and Mike were calm, steady and full of love and joy. The rain soon let up, and the ceremony held by the creek at beautiful L’Auberge de Sedona. The hollow square tables were lush with floral by Events by Showstoppers. Janae was hands on with every detail of the wedding; from her gorgeous gown and Badgley Mischka shoes to Mikes custom made shoes. The children had their own table complete with fun props and activities to keep them entertained. Birdsong Photography perfectly captured one beautiful image after another.
It was an honor for Van Damme Weddings to officiate as well as act as day of coordinator for this lovely wedding.
There is something romantic about the idea of running away, just the two of you, to some exciting location, exchanging vows near a creek, a mountaintop or a favorite city.
Allison and Brandon, did just that by eloping to the breathtaking Red Rocks of Sedona.
Allison’s vision was to be married in a late afternoon ceremony outdoors, high in the Red Rocks. Avid hikers, and mountain bikers, Allison and Brandon wanted a casual, relaxed and happy wedding. They envisioned an outdoor dinner under the stars with elegant food and fine wines. Great photos were also high on their list.
Allison took her inspiration from the charm of the bohemian era. Her Free People dress was a strapless pheasant dress with a tiered skirt accented in vintage inspired embroidery. The groom wore a Mexican Wedding Shirt and light kaki trousers. They returned to fine dining and excellent wines on the banks of Oak Creek at the L’Auberge de Sedona Resort.
In keeping with Allison’s theme Margaret Van Damme designed a table of vintage bottles filled with wildflowers, a centerpiece set in vintage milk glass and lots of candlelight. Peacock Flower Co. provided the table floral and beautiful bridal bouquet.
The Event Essentials created place cards and signage for the wedding chairs, which gave the small wedding of six a special and personal touch. Beautiful family crystal champagne flutes in which to toast were brought from home.
Allison and Brandon had a beautiful, unforgettable, planned elopement in a setting that was perfect for two or two hundred.
From the first time I met Devin it was clear she had a vision for the wedding she had been dreaming of from the time she was a little girl. Devin chose a beautiful lace Alvina Valenta gown with champagne sash. She envisioned the look of her wedding reflecting her dress. The look was elegant, romantic and somewhat whimsical. The couple wanted an elegant wedding yet easy and most of all fun for their family and friends. A perfectionist, Devin was hands on in creating so many of the details for her wedding. She and Brian were both involved in every aspect of the wedding. Devin hand painted over a hundred varied sized votives with a gold wash and wrapped each in different laces. The lace theme was repeated in various ways including all the cupcake wrappers. She made all the signage and table numbers and collected beautiful frames for them. The reception linens were a beautiful champagne ruched fabric that Devin rented from a bride that had them made for her own wedding. Great re-purposing. Floral was very important to Devin and she found the perfect match for her vision in Bliss Floral. Bliss created large spray arrangements on the reception tables with white heather, white carnations, white larkspur, white tulips, white statice, white Oriental lilies and white hydrangea. The bride’s bouquet was ivory hydrangea, champagne spray roses, gardenias, white anemones and ivory lisianthus.
The wedding day was sheer magic. In spite of threatening rain, in the last minutes before the ceremony the clouds parted, the sun peeked out and lit up the entire area. Guests enjoyed fabulous food, great wine and danced the night away to live music.

This is one wedding that was perfection in its beauty, ease, and super fun loving couple.
Julie and Patrick were married at the beautiful L’Auberge de Sedona Resort last October. While attending the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Arizona the couple had made several trips to Sedona to hike and fell in love with the beauty of Sedona. Julie and Patrick wanted their travel themed wedding to be unique, comfortable and fun, which it was. It would be the first time Patrick’s friends and family from Germany would be meeting Julie’s friends and family from the States. They also wanted to include their beloved miniature schnauzer, Winston in the ceremony. Winston dressed in a tux acted as ring bearer.
The bride wore a stunning Monique Lhuillier gown and her bridal party beautiful rich cranberry gowns. Guests enjoyed fabulous food and wine and danced the night away.

Valerie and Ryan were married at the beautiful Page Springs Cellars Vineyard in October. The couple, wine club members and lovers of great food were excited to have their wedding at the vineyard. The planning process was interrupted when Ryan’s work took him across the country. Valerie then had to concentrate on wrapping up her job in Arizona, pack up and move to North Carolina pick up the planning again in order to get back to Arizona for the wedding. The wedding day was perfect. Guests were transported to the vineyard for the ceremony by the creek. Family and close friends enjoyed a sunny afternoon with great food catered by the Heartline Café and carefully paired wines from the winery. Courtney Yeates and Lindsay Katz -Cellist/vocalist and guitarist provided music. Bliss Floral created beautiful arrangements in brilliant fall colors. Iffy Yossifor captured the day and event planner Margaret Van Damme coordinated the day.
Justine Miller captured the beautiful September wedding of Teaunee and Fran. The couple was married in the courtyard of the Heartline Café with Margaret Van Damme officiating. It was a small intimate wedding with close friends and family. The couple’s dog Savannah acted as ring bearer. The couple released butterflies in memory of Teaunee’s mother. It was a heartfelt moment. Love was in the air.
I usually love featuring the latest wedding gowns and sometimes neglect that the grooms also have a look of their own. From snappy bow ties to colorful socks, here are a few looks seen recently around the wedding blogs.
