And The Bride Wore Chanel
Nina and John decided that because they both come from such large families that they would prefer a small intimate destination wedding for the two of them and then have a large gathering back home to celebrate. The stylish couple chose Sedona’s L’Auberge de Sedona Resort. They were chauffeured to a Red Rock location in a 1949 Bentley for their intimate ceremony. The bride wore Chanel and carried a small bouquet of orange ranunculus. They celebrated back at the hotel with an intimate dinner creek side in the small gazebo.
Nina described their experience as being “absolutely flawless” You could not tell by their radiant faces that it was one of the windiest and coldest days we have seen this year.

Timeless Beauty
I ran across this here. This dress is timeless in its beauty. A beautiful shot of Jacqueline Bouvier’s wedding dress when she married Senator John F. Kennedy in 1953
Say Goodbye to February
It is still cloudy, cool and raining here in the Red Rocks. This spring inspired photo has me dreaming of warmer weather and beautiful outdoor spring weddings.

20’s Styled Bride
Dawn and Dino were married October 05, 2009 at Red Rock Crossing. This beautiful and fun loving couple, together twenty years decided to travel to Sedona from their home in Florida to say “I do”.
Dawn chose a 20’s inspired look with her halter style appliquéd gown, long pearl necklace and opera length gloves. She carried a large calla lily bouquet created by Bliss Floral and popular in the 20’s and wore an ostrich feather attached to her custom made veil. Marcia The Art of Photography captured images at several locations, including Tlaquepaque, The Knoll and Red Rock Crossing. Ceremony music was provided by Oman Ken. Planning and officiating by Van Damme Weddings.
The couple braved the cold waters of Oak Creek for a “trash the dress” session after their ceremony.
Flower Brooches
I saw these fabulous new handmade linen-and-flower flower brooches posted by Joanna Goddard. They are by Emerson Made They reminded me of a past Van Damme Wedding bride, Karen Underwood, a talented designer from New York who had this look for her ’07 wedding to Anthony Famiglietti in Sedona.
