Lost in Etsy
Etsy is the world where I can spend hours with so many great finds for brides as well as photo shoots. Etsy has been the on line marketplace for brides looking to find those little hand crafted details that make a wedding personal and unique. . Etsy has made it easy by having a dedicated section just for weddings where you can find thousands of items that may be perfect for your wedding. In Style magazine features a “we heart Etsy” section in this months issue. Below are a just a few of my recent loves.
Window Frame Chalk Board Cork Board
Personalized Bridal Wedding Hanger
DIY Finds
I am always on the lookout for great wedding extras for my brides, for photo shoots or my own designs. I ran across this great site via Wiley Valentine.
Olive Manna and their wedding site, Wedzu are packed full of great items. You will find newsprint paper sacks, pink glassine bags, burlap favor bags, colored clothespins and wooden tags. “Wedzu is all about weddings. Especially indie, handmade, awesome weddings”
Teacups
I love old teacups. I’ve collected many myself over the years and love to see them used in vintage weddings. Here are some great uses via Elizabeth Anne Designs
Vintage Stamps
I love pretty postage stamps on just about any letter. I especially love to see them on wedding invitations and RSVP envelopes. I ran across this great idea of having different vintage stamps on the envelope at Cardgirl Invitations. See the entire post as well as ways to create your own beautiful invitations. You can buy vintage stamps online or you can make your own customized postage stamps from your photos at sites like Zazzle

Sedona Vineyard Wedding Details
Here are some of my favorite photographs of the editorial shoot we did at Page Springs Winery. Images were captured by Sedona Bride.
See the video by Taltos Productions at http://taltosproductions.wordpress.com/ The floral is another post with so many beautiful arrangements by Bliss Floral
There were so many DIY details I loved about this shoot. The tables were set with a collection of mixed dinnerware and glassware, from my own collection. The vintage tablecloths were also part mine and some borrowed from a friend. The vintage family silverware came from home. The table numbers were made with mason jars, paste on numbers with small polka dots. The jars were filled with vintage marbles that were my friend’s grandfathers. I found a collection of very pristine Arizona postcards all written in 1937 by the same person wintering in Phoenix. I found them in Illinois where they were mailed to a friend or family member. These were used as menu cards. Place cards were small envelopes with cards. We used rub on wedding sayings on the card and hand wrote the guest name on the insert. They were attached to the French vases with colorful clothespin magnets. The vineyard setting was perfect. Van Damme Weddings is excited about designing your Sedona vineyard wedding, vintage, modern, elegant, or casual, give us a call.
A Sedona Vineyard Wedding
I am so excited to show the slide show images from the 40’s inspired vineyard wedding that we recently did at Page Springs Cellars. With a team of very talented vendors I created a wedding to promote and generate more interest in Vineyard Weddings for our destination brides as well as our local brides. The images were captured by Katrina Wallace of Sedona Bride; Floral arrangements by Bliss Extraordinary Floral; Video production by Taltos Productions; Hair and Make-Up by Patricia Vega and Event Design by Van Damme Weddings. Our models John and Cori were great fun and even got in the creek for a “trash the dress session”.
Do It Yourself- Fun and Beautiful
As a fan and preferred vendor of the fabulous “Wedding Chicks” blog, I am always inspired and knocked over by all the beautiful DIY posts they do as well as all the great DIY free templates they offer. Yes free. Here are a couple of them I love.
