Outdoor Sedona Wedding
Sedona brides and grooms love having their wedding ceremonies in the natural outdoor beauty of Sedona. Vibrant sandstone cliffs that are carved into exotic shapes, blue skies and changing colors frame weddings in a spectacular way. Amy and Chris chose Red Rock Crossing for their intimate elopement this spring. This location is one of the most popular settings with Oak Creek flowing through the park and Cathedral Rock as a beautiful ceremony backdrop.

Sedona September
Justine Miller captured the beautiful September wedding of Teaunee and Fran. The couple was married in the courtyard of the Heartline Café with Margaret Van Damme officiating. It was a small intimate wedding with close friends and family. The couple’s dog Savannah acted as ring bearer. The couple released butterflies in memory of Teaunee’s mother. It was a heartfelt moment. Love was in the air.
Sedona Sunset
I love the lanterns at sunset in Sedona. This image was captured from the video produced by Carl Anderson at one of our favorite venues L’Auberge de Sedona. It was a perfect October evening. I am so looking forward to all the new weddings we have booked for this coming October in Sedona. The lanterns are the work of floral and design specialist, Showstoppers.
A Good Ending to 2009
This is our last wedding in December 2009. Our beautiful couple decided to elope to the serenity of Sedona after their guest list reached somewhere near 600. They were very happy to enjoy the moment, take in the beauty and peace of a winter at Red Rock Crossing and share the vows they wrote to each other. They will celebrate in the spring with a grand party for friends and family in their new home.

A Quiet Elopement
Although facing some pressure with deadlines to complete paperwork before Ron’s deployment; Ron and Dallas knew they wanted to be married in Sedona’s serene and magical environment. Ron and Dallas were married in a quiet and beautiful ceremony on Oak Creek. The couple exchanged vows they wrote to each other on a perfectly clear Sedona fall day.
Pamela Duffy captured the day’s images and Bill Barnes played guitar. We at Van Damme Weddings are so proud of the men and women who are serving our country with such honor and sacrifice. This will be Ron’s third deployment. Pamela Duffy will be going to Phoenix to photograph Ron in uniform as he says goodbye to Dallas at the airport. Pamela is working on a photographic project depicting service men and women and their families.
Unique Sedona Wedding Venues
Sedona wedding venues can provide just about any combination of amenities brides and grooms are looking for.
Some of my favorite venues are off the beaten path, away from the usual resort, bed and breakfast, Inns, or halls.
These can be Ranches, Farms, Barns, and State Parks. One of my favorite places is the Dancing Apache Lodge. Located in the beautiful Verde Valley and minutes away from Sedona; it has privacy, a sense of seclusion a beautiful pond and stream running through the property and its own vineyard. Best of all; beautiful outdoor spaces for ceremony, reception and dancing.
The 4,000 sq ft log home is perfect for a week-end celebration. Contact us at Van Damme Weddings (928-282-5067) to design and book your unique wedding at the Dancing Apache Lodge.
Our very talented friends at Cameron + Kelly Studio sent this beautiful wedding they recently shot at the ranch. You will love this slide show.
