Handmade Adornments and Veils from Tessa Kim
I love the beautiful hair adornments by Tessa Kim. You can see them on her 2011 look book or on Style Me Pretty.
Tessa Kim’s line includes birdcage veils, tulle birdcage veils, bridal traditional veils, flower fascinators, feather hair combs, headbands, dress sashes, brooches and much more. All of her accessories are made with the highest quality organic cottons, silks, satins, silk organzas, feathers, pearls, genuine rhinestones and vintage millinery details.
DIY Finds
I am always on the lookout for great wedding extras for my brides, for photo shoots or my own designs. I ran across this great site via Wiley Valentine.
Olive Manna and their wedding site, Wedzu are packed full of great items. You will find newsprint paper sacks, pink glassine bags, burlap favor bags, colored clothespins and wooden tags. “Wedzu is all about weddings. Especially indie, handmade, awesome weddings”
French Macaroons
I love French macaroons. These dainty little cakes in beautiful colors and flavors, yum. Brides that love beautiful food are following this trend to have French macaroons at their event. They can be a substitute for the cake, in addition to the cake, a late night dessert or make a lovely take away gift. I love these from Nicola and Eric at the Macaronner. They make these dainty, delicate; melt in your mouth, French macaroons from scratch. Check out their blog and their etsy store for more delicious ideas.
All About Weddings
This find from grey likes weddings. Wedzu an online marketplace for hand made items, just for weddings. I love it.

Sedona Signature Drink Shoot
Katrina Wallace of Sedona Bride asked me to set the stage for a “signature drink” shoot. I did and she shot this at the beautiful L’Auberge de Sedona resort on Oak Creek. Sedona Bride and Van Damme Weddings love collaborating on these projects. We gain inspiration and love to pass it on to our clients.
Bridesmaid Thank You Hankies
I love vintage hankies and have collected many over the years. Here is another great use for these beautiful hankies from Oh, Hello Friend. This is an easy DIY project for that vintage flare to your wedding.
Calligraphy from Primele
I love calligraphy and especially taken by the work of Patricia of Primele. Primele is the studio of three sisters in upstate New York. I love the many uses of calligraphy in these photos. Via:the Sweetest Occassion
Abstract Expressionists
If you haven’t checked out the new stamp scene, you may not know about the new “Abstract Expressionists” stamps that are newly available. If you are a modern bride and looking to stamp your invites with a little pop, definitely check these out. They are over-sized and really lovely in person. Wine Cork Place Card Holders
Stacy of Le’ Gallery Boutique in Scottsdale recently sent me these samples of her work with wine corks. These are great custom handcrafted wine corks made by Stacy in Scottsdale Arizona. They make wonderful place card holders and napkin rings for our Vineyard Weddings in Sedona. Of course they work beautifully for any special occasion or event you may be having. These repurposed wine corks are a good eco-friendly choice for your event. I am looking forward to using them for an outdoor summer event.
