Asian Color, Texture and Loveliness
This fabulous wedding is via wedding bee pro. Having just attended the Dulhania Bazaar-South Asian Bridal Expo at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort & Spa in Phoenix, Arizona last week; this wedding came as a most inspiring treat. We want to encourage all of our Asian brides to come to Sedona for their wedding celebration. We have a team of experts in Sedona that can make your day a dream. Bridesmaids Carry Something Different
I for one like bridesmaids dresses that do not look all the same. Brides may set the limits on color and let each maid pick her own style or go as far as letting each girl pick her own color and style. Getting creative on what bridesmaids carry down the isle is also a fresh look at the traditional flower bouquet. Here is a recent post on green wedding shoes that I just love. See the entire post here.
The Most Beautiful Weddings of the Year
One of my favorite and beautiful weddings was featured in the Wedding Chronicle’s-November/December issue as one of the Most Beautiful Weddings of the Year.
Jill and JJ’s fall wedding took place at L’Auberge de Sedona.
A total of 165 people attended the wedding! Family of both attended, as did friends from the couples’ childhoods, high schools, colleges, law school, workplaces, and more. One of the groomsmen traveled from India!
Jill wore a champagne hued strapless Maggie Sottero wedding gown with a corset back. Two of the most meaningful items were a handkerchief she carried that her grandmother carried on her wedding day and her grandmother’s bracelet. The bridal party wore Bill Levkoff gold dresses with gold shoes. The groom and groomsmen wore brown tuxedos.
The bridal party’s colors were chosen to highlight the fall colors in Sedona-deep golden, burnt orange, wine red. A beautiful fall Sedona Wedding.
This couple was gorgeous to look at and so much fun to work with. The couple honeymooned in Argentina and Uruguay.

Paisley Quill-True Love of Design
I was so thrilled and surprised to receive in the mail a gorgeous presentation of invitation samples from Molly Myers at Paisley Quill.
I have followed the Paisley Quill blog for some time and love their sense of beautiful design.
Having the invitation suites in my hands was heaven for a design and paper lover like me. It is hard to imagine unless you see and feel them how wonderful they truly are.
Choose from custom wedding suites or from Paisley’s ink well collection of ready made invitations. You will love the luxury and quality of these invitations.
My favorites below are from a Hindu/Christian Wedding. The collection is elaborate in detail and embedded with tiny red and gold jewels. See more about the details here.
Shop Hey Lady-Wedding Shoes-Stylish and Comfortable
I love shoes! Shoes make me happy. Wearing 4” heels is not too practical for a wedding planner here in Red Rock country. I usually have to get my shoe fix looking at the beautiful shoes brides chose for themselves. Here is a wedding shoe site you are going to love. And you will love the back story of these shoes and their founders, Emily and Jessica. “Shop Hey Lady’s mission is to inject fun and function into the wedding industry. They bring you the one and only stylish and comfortable wedding shoe. This collection combines an uncompromised sense of style and humor, and is made especially for rule-breakers and heart-breakers” Shop Hey Lady, the most gorgeous wedding shoes and you can dance in them all night.
Unique Sedona Wedding Venues
Sedona wedding venues can provide just about any combination of amenities brides and grooms are looking for.
Some of my favorite venues are off the beaten path, away from the usual resort, bed and breakfast, Inns, or halls.
These can be Ranches, Farms, Barns, and State Parks. One of my favorite places is the Dancing Apache Lodge. Located in the beautiful Verde Valley and minutes away from Sedona; it has privacy, a sense of seclusion a beautiful pond and stream running through the property and its own vineyard. Best of all; beautiful outdoor spaces for ceremony, reception and dancing.
The 4,000 sq ft log home is perfect for a week-end celebration. Contact us at Van Damme Weddings (928-282-5067) to design and book your unique wedding at the Dancing Apache Lodge.
Our very talented friends at Cameron + Kelly Studio sent this beautiful wedding they recently shot at the ranch. You will love this slide show.
