Van Damme Weddings-Vineyard Wedding featured on Style Me Pretty
We were honored to have our Sedona Vineyard Wedding featured on Style Me Pretty.
Vera Wang 2010
I am so loving these fabulous gowns by Vera Wang posted by the wedding chicks. I think they are out of this world beautiful.
Bridesmaids 2010
Project Wedding has been posting some of the most gorgeous bridal gowns and bridesmaid’s dresses for 2010. Here are a few outstanding dresses for bridesmaids that I love. The first is from Alfred Angelo. Plaid, how fresh is this dress. The bottom two are from Moonlight Bridal in New York. Love, love the colors. See the entire post at their link above.
Creative Blossoms
I have wanted to post this particular work by Events by Showstoppers since they created it for a summer wedding at El Portal. Their floral design is exquisite and it fit perfectly at one of my favorite venues El Portal Inn. El Portal has long been a favorite of mine for that intimate mid-sized wedding. (30) Guests.
The design created by Ken Heflin and Jim Bullock for this wedding was truly a “showstopper”
As a grand entrance for the bride, Showstoppers create one of their fabulous rose petal carpets. For this carpet two thousand roses were used in colors of red, fuchsia and deep pink. The wisteria growing near the outdoor ceremony site was hung with pink snapdragons up side down to create the illusion of blooming wisteria. Also at the ceremony site were the beautiful rose spheres made with 150 roses per ball and wound with rattan vines. The bridal bouquet was made of blush cymbidium orchids, peonies and rose hips. I think my favorite was the layering of all the elements on the U shaped dinner tables. Square vases were filled with coral peonies, double pink tulips, wax flower, genestra, French tulips, phlox and chartreuse reindeer moss. Spaces between were filled with fresh mushrooms, votives, small birds nests filled with quail eggs and Manzanita branches. English ivy trailed down the sides of the tables. 20’s Styled Bride
Dawn and Dino were married October 05, 2009 at Red Rock Crossing. This beautiful and fun loving couple, together twenty years decided to travel to Sedona from their home in Florida to say “I do”.
Dawn chose a 20’s inspired look with her halter style appliquéd gown, long pearl necklace and opera length gloves. She carried a large calla lily bouquet created by Bliss Floral and popular in the 20’s and wore an ostrich feather attached to her custom made veil. Marcia The Art of Photography captured images at several locations, including Tlaquepaque, The Knoll and Red Rock Crossing. Ceremony music was provided by Oman Ken. Planning and officiating by Van Damme Weddings.
The couple braved the cold waters of Oak Creek for a “trash the dress” session after their ceremony.
A Burst of Fall In Sedona
Jessy and Kevin were married last week end on the hillside lawn of L’Auberge de Sedona. Close friends and family gathered on this beautiful fall evening to witness the ceremony performed by Margaret Van Damme. Ceremony and reception music was provided by Bobby Russell. The images of this lovely couple were captured by the fabulous Heather Kadar. Check in later for more photos on Heather’s site. I love the shades of orange, blending in perfectly with Sedona’s Red Rocks. This is what a wedding in Sedona is all about.
Sedona Vineyard Wedding Details
Here are some of my favorite photographs of the editorial shoot we did at Page Springs Winery. Images were captured by Sedona Bride.
See the video by Taltos Productions at http://taltosproductions.wordpress.com/ The floral is another post with so many beautiful arrangements by Bliss Floral
There were so many DIY details I loved about this shoot. The tables were set with a collection of mixed dinnerware and glassware, from my own collection. The vintage tablecloths were also part mine and some borrowed from a friend. The vintage family silverware came from home. The table numbers were made with mason jars, paste on numbers with small polka dots. The jars were filled with vintage marbles that were my friend’s grandfathers. I found a collection of very pristine Arizona postcards all written in 1937 by the same person wintering in Phoenix. I found them in Illinois where they were mailed to a friend or family member. These were used as menu cards. Place cards were small envelopes with cards. We used rub on wedding sayings on the card and hand wrote the guest name on the insert. They were attached to the French vases with colorful clothespin magnets. The vineyard setting was perfect. Van Damme Weddings is excited about designing your Sedona vineyard wedding, vintage, modern, elegant, or casual, give us a call.
A Sedona Vineyard Wedding
I am so excited to show the slide show images from the 40’s inspired vineyard wedding that we recently did at Page Springs Cellars. With a team of very talented vendors I created a wedding to promote and generate more interest in Vineyard Weddings for our destination brides as well as our local brides. The images were captured by Katrina Wallace of Sedona Bride; Floral arrangements by Bliss Extraordinary Floral; Video production by Taltos Productions; Hair and Make-Up by Patricia Vega and Event Design by Van Damme Weddings. Our models John and Cori were great fun and even got in the creek for a “trash the dress session”.
