Location, Location, Location
Sedona wedding venues can provide just about any combination of amenities brides and grooms are looking for: Elegant Resorts; Intimate Inns; Cozy Bed and Breakfasts; Stunning Private Vacation Rentals; and spectacular outdoor sites in Red Rock Forrest Service Land. Each week I will post one of these outstanding places to say “I do” and log them on the permanent “Sedona Wedding Locations” page.
Merry Go Round
Merry Go Round is a red rock dream location. Traveling up Schnebly Hill Road near the 3000 foot Mogollon rim the red rock formations blaze the trail. The red, salmon and cream colored rocks make a striking landscape. It is about a ten minute walk in to the ceremony site from the road. Be prepared with walking shoes, although I have had brides in four inch heels and eighty year old grandmothers make this trek with ease.

Katrina Wallace and Andrew Mejia of Sedona Bride capture the cover of the 10th Anniversary Issue of Phoenix Bride and Groom.
If you get the chance to have this talented husband and wife team photograph your Sedona wedding, you will be very happy. Their approach to fine art photojournalism is sophisticated without being pretentious. They will capture the beauty and detail of your day, with expertise and love. Van Damme Weddings loves working with this team! Check back often to see their work.
Vintage Postcards as Placecards
Love these placecards posted by Oh So Beautiful Paper They are from design sponge another great blog of beautiful home and product design and great ideas.
Twigs & Honey
I was really excited when I found these hand made hair adornments by Myra Callan from Twigs and Honey. They can also be seen on her etsy store.
“The Twigs & Honey line features hair adornments, headbands, birdcage veils, traditional veils, bridal jewelry, belts, boutonnieres, ring pillows, hats, shrugs, bouquets, corsages, and more! The line uses fine silks, feathers, laces, and vintage bits that result in completely unique adornments.”
With This Burger, I Thee Wed
As the wedding season gets into full swing, many brides and bridegrooms are taking a decidedly down-home approach. Bring on the grilled steak, sweet potato fries and Rice Krispie treats (not to mention the checkered tablecloths). It’s enough to have the most sophisticated bride scrambling for her grandmother’s Betty Crocker cookbook.
Vintage Inspired Headband
I love these handmade Feather Headbands by Pluma. These headbands are a great way to play up your personal style. Wear it on your wedding day and then throw it on later, with jeans.

Glittery Accessories
I saw these hot new accessories while having coffee and reading the LA Times this morning. Seems I can’t keep from searching out beautiful bridal details, even on a Sunday.
