Photographer and friend Mel Russell sent over these stunning photos he took on his recent trip to Antelope Canyon in Northern Arizona.

Antelope Canyon is one of the most breathtaking and tranquil places on earth.  Gently carved from the Navajo sandstone over the course of countless millenniums, the slot canyons are majestic and narrow passages, just enough space for a small group to walk the sandy floor – and for the occasional shafts of sunlight to shine down from above. Anna and Raul celebrated their marriage this summer at Tlaquepaque. The quaint courtyards, reminiscent of a Mexican village was the perfect backdrop for this vibrant wedding. The Texas couple chose bright colors that were perfect in Red Rock Country. The groom’s grandmother made dozens of Biscochitos; the traditional New Mexico sugar cookie dusted with cinnamon sugar. Being a New Mexican; they were a hit with me. Everyone was in a festive mood and danced the night away.

Summer is here with a burst of color. Sharalee and David eloped to Sedona recently. They chose the fabulous Lodge at Sedona for their stay and held their ceremony on the lush lodge grounds. Sharalee decided against convention and wore this bright, purple/magenta and ivory dress. I love the purple shoes. Sharalee and David were fun, playful and relaxed. The Chicago couple were happy to be in beautiful Sedona.
